What are Digital Impressions
The most efficient way to now take impressions is through the use of digital technology. Instead of using a tray filled with putty material, a dentist scans teeth with a small optical wand that contains 40 camera lenses to create a 3D image on the touch-screen monitor. At this point, the digital impression is sent to a lab to be made. Once the impression is made into what you needed, it’s sent back to the dentist for your final fitting. Your smile is now complete!
